ALEXANDRA AMORATI
PROFESSIONAL WORK

Roblox (2017-current)
Product management, previously program management.
I've worked on many projects & teams at Roblox, including avatar, art & design, and creator documentation. My primary project for 5 years was the launch (and sunset) of Roblox's "UGC program": a way for members of the Roblox community to create and sell custom avatar cosmetics on the platform. I worked closely with the initial group of 10 hand-picked creators and scaled it to the open program (and monetization powerhouse) it is today, leading the production of internal safety and user-facing creation tools along the way.

Nixon Presidential Library, through Cortina Productions (2016)
Production intern, assisting with script writing, asset creation, research, and QA.
Contributed to many interactive exhibits for the reopening of the Nixon Presidential Library in 2016.
GRADUATE & UNDERGRADUATE HIGHLIGHTS

Lights Out (2016)
Producer, helped with research, design, and prop building.
Unlike most ETC projects, which are funded by a client, this project was pitched and approved to build. It may not look like much, but that's because you weren't supposed to see it! Lights Out was a physical installation - a non-visual narrative experience for which I led design, production, and operation in 2016. The mysterious white bottles are a scent puzzle, and the labeled buttons are from the control room.

Edelweiss (2015)
Co-producer and artist.
In close collaboration with client Allegheny Health Network and specialists, built a trauma-screening iOS app for use in pediatric clinics. ETC project website: etc.cmu.edu/projects/edelweiss

Forbidden Forest (2015)
Lead organizer, helped with decorations and platform setup.
For the ETC Festival - a showcase event - some projects are chosen to have dedicated rooms for guests to visit and play. Not wanting the other projects to go unseen, some of us students themed and operated an extra room to show them like an arcade!
Quest for the Holy Grail & King of Smoothie (2015)
Helped with production, level design, sound design, story design, & props construction & wiring.
Quest for the Holy Grail was built in 3 weeks, and King of Smoothie was built in only 1! The King of Smoothie mat was made with MaKey Makey and lots of love and tape.

The Relationship Between Stress, Spatial Ability, and Navigation Decisions in an Emergency Scenario (2014-15)
Lead researcher, artist & scripter.
Built virtual environment and program to run it with an Oculus Rift and joystick using self-taught skills in SketchUp and Python. Video shows demo of world with emergency / fire scenario toggled. Image shows top view of entire mall in SketchUp.
